What happens after I contact Rise Up Education?

You can contact Rise Up Education by either email, phone or through the website. Register your interest through the 'Register' tab above and I will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your child's needs.

READING INTERVENTION 

After we have discussed your child's needs, we will negotiate a suitable time for an assessment to be completed to determine where your child's strengths and weaknesses are, using a variety of assessment tools. This assessment will involve a number of diagnostic tools/tests to determine your child's learning needs. This assessment will normally take approximately one hour.

From this information, we will create a personalised learning program specifically for your child.

MATHS TUTORING 

We use a variety of games and resources to assess your child's maths knowledge, as well as formal maths assessments if needed. 

Bookings -  How do I do this?

Click 'Register' and fill in your details. We will contact you to discuss your child's needs and clarify any questions you might have.

Bookings are  taken for the duration of the Victorian school term. When you book at Rise Up Education, it is a full term commitment. The reason for this is children need consistency, repetition and a regular routine to develop their skills and study habits. 

School holiday sessions are available at times throughout the year. Check the home page for any updates on school holiday sessions.

 What if I have to skip a session? 

It is important that your child has regular, ongoing sessions to consolidate their skills and knowledge. Any weekly session that is cancelled with less than eight (8) hours notice will be billed at the normal tuition fee. When eight (8) hours notice is given, you will be billed at 50% of the session cost or a make up session can be organised at a time convenient to both the parent and teacher. Make up sessions can be organised through the student portal. One make up session is available per term.

Failure to attend a session with no notification results in forfeiture of fees for that session (no makeup session will apply for no shows or no notice). 

Will I receive regular updates on how my child is progressing?

Yes, there will be regular communication regarding your child's progress and a learning report can be provided, upon request, at the end of the year to show what your child has focused on during their time with Rise Up Education. 

 Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my child's booking? 

Yes, a deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking to secure your child's spot. This deposit amount will be credited from your fees for the term. If you decide to cancel your booking before the sessions commence, this deposit is non-refundable.


ARE THERE ANY EXTRA COSTS?

A $20 stationery/printing fee will be added to your child's term fees.

1:1 and Semi-private sessions (group) 

HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?

All primary sessions run for 45 minutes.

Secondary homework sessions/exam preparation run for 60 minutes.

HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE IN A GROUP SESSION?

To ensure explicit instruction targeted for each child, there is a limit of 3 students per session for Literacy & Maths sessions, for primary aged students.

Secondary homework groups have a maximum of 6 students per session.
